Sorta six, but not seven miles

Today's run was a scheduled 7 miles. I'm still a little fatigued from buttcamp, speedwork and this damn cold. (Excuses, excuses) I ran 6.27 miles in 1:05:55 - 10:30/min miles. I burned 713 calories (Do I get to eat more?) and my heart rate was too high . . . 172 bpm avg/188 bpm max - I'm going to guess and say it's the snot/oxygen factor contribution from this cold. (Or maybe it's my torrid lesbian love affair with Garmin? Another excuse).

If you hang around Runner Susan or Shopper Susan long enough, you'll eventually pick up all her bad & good habits. My friends Linda and Kate went shopping last night . . . for Underarmour! Why? Because they have decided to walk the Big D half marathon in April. Go Linda. Go Kate. Stop by their blogs and wish them good luck with their training. I'm really proud of these girls.

Actually I didn't get UnderArmour cause they didn't have the one I wanted. Instead I got a white Adidas shirt instead. It will work and I will get some UnderArmour later.

Nice job on the run. Does your husband know about this Garmin gal?

My suggestion regarding your question would be to either run the first one as a training run and the second one push it, or go for it on the first one and then use the second one as a fun event. Like I said though, I do not claim to be an expert on anything. This is simply my lowly opinion.

Garmin is a girl? I think I'll pick one up and maybe "get lucky." (It could be fun just fiddling with her buttons).

Good, snotty run! Hope you're over your "sicky phase" soon.

Good job on the run. Take care not to overdo it though, especially if you're nursing a cold.

Is the Garmin a lady? How can I go to explain it to my wife?

All technological fuzz bumping aside, have you seen the new Garmin 205 and 305's? You might leave your *01 lover by the wayside after you do.

Your current genre is the "Phlegm-ingo" .... be graceful and elegant with the occasional spitchewy-thwack out of the left nostril, no need to be rushing around and pushing the HR up so high.

So who's the dominant one in your relationship with Garmin? Does Garmin like to wrip off Underarmour and get crazy or what?

How could Kap post about the new Garmin. I love my 301 and did not know about the 305.....It is smaller! I better not go back to that site. Glad you were able to get through your run. Feel better.

Ooooo, there's a smaller Garmin? I wonder how small they will get before I have a real job again and can afford to buy one. Probably the size of a pea :)

I'd love a garmin but amy too technologically lazy to figure it out or use it properly - the love affair with the iPod will have to suffice..I don't even have a stop watch any more...too lazy to get strap fixed!

I have a Garmin question...does anyone use it with a Mac? Is there a way to make it compatible? I really really want one, but right now I'm only lusting from afar.

And my HR was crazy today, too. Strange!

Way to go Susan! Sounds like a good run if you ask me.

Underamour? Staying clear of that one!

UnderArmour intimidates me!! It is SO tight I feel like it accentuates the fact that my rib cage is too big for my body!

Hope the cold gets better soon!
