A backwards run

Today's run is inexplicable . . . 4.364534819908468* miles in 44:49. If my memory serves me correctly, here are my splits:

M1: 7:26 (go me)
M2: 8:30
M3:9:23
M4: 12:00
M4.364: 8:00 (no go me)

My body is not properly fueled. These holiday foods are taking their toll, and then some. Perhaps I should start documenting my consumption again. This time of year, I'm certain it would be a very ugly documentation.

I have the day off work today. I'll be at my church, finishing my shopping. Let's hope my lovely Michael won't make me repent afterwards.

*If I haven't mentioned it before, Sue & Paul's Gmap Pedometer is the world's 2nd greatest invention.

Hmm holiday foods..the only food I am succumb to is chocolate...the landlord at work gave us good Italian chocolate.

How can you say no to that? I say if I splurge, i better splurge on the best (or the worst, depending on how you see it).

Sometimes you just gotta let loose. Nice first, second, and third mile. Just call the 4th and the rest your cooldown. Not that I am trying to demean your 4th and beyond mileage. I know you coulda busted out some more speed if you wanted.

This is the best thing for documenting my daily caloric intake has well as monitoring what fuels my body and where I am lacking in:)

I'm with ya on the food thing. I don't eat a lot of junk, but lately, I just haven't had the motivation to cook... so I haven't been eating much at all. Now I just need to find the motivation to track my intake...lol

if you document it, it might end up being less disastrous then if you don't. I definitely should have written down consumption for this weekend. It was ugly.

Resist the temptation of the Holiday food! My stepfather used to say to us when we were teenagers: "a moment on your lips, a lifetime on your hips." Ugh....lol.

Speedy first mile! Nice job. Hey don't get down on the slower miles - at least you're out there running!

I am so glad to see you follow the rules of the road and stop at all red lights and Stop signs. Maybe you should veer your running route in that fourth mile to a less travelled part of town.

I know what her favorite invention is. Remember, she's not a sorority girl with gobs of money.

I love holiday food. I stepped on the scale and was so pissed off I almost threw the thing at my dog (sorry Sherlock). I'll keep running if you keep running!

Great run! I've consumed more sugar this month than all year - ugh! I nearly ate a peanut butter cookie at 5:30 AM this morning and then I stopped myself from the insanity...
